How your personal evolution could save the planet.

September 11, 2008

According to the Clare Graves (who is a man) individuals and groups evolve through certain levels according to their values.  According to the work of Clare Graves, communities, populations and cultures evolve through what he calls “values” levels. Please note this is just a model which is useful to help us understand evolution of communities. It should not be used to judge people as being better or worse.

Evolution of values systems takes place within populations and cultures. Cultures evolve through these levels. In addition, people experience evolving through these levels in their lifetime. Organisations / groups of people also evolve through these levels.

1. Survival Oriented:
This person is totally alone. They have no associations with anyone else. No-one is currently living at this level except in very unusual situations where someone has been stranded somewhere – e.g. soldiers stranded after 2nd world war. Some people in abusive families exist at survival level.

2. Tribal Oriented This level occurs where there is a group with a chief, who is often a medicine man or woman. Within the group no-one has personal choice. Everyone does what the chief says. They live in a magical, mystical world. The village they live in is magic, and everything outside was “scary”. As long as they stayed in the village they were OK. The elements – wind, rain, etc were messages from the gods. The medicine man/woman/chief interprets the messages. They know what they needed to do as a tribe to stay safe from the “scary elements”. No one has choice. Everything they do is to please the medicine man, and everything he told them to do was to please the gods/ goddesses.

They evolve to the next level when:
Certain people become disenchanted with the tribe / medicine man and they strike out on their own. They let go of being a victim and get understanding.

3. Aggression oriented
Then they become totally alone again. They live like a Wild West Gunfighter. They have no respect for anyone or anything. Their model of the world is “Kill or be killed”. It is a regression of sorts. They have no guilt, and are into instant gratification. Their motto would be “I do what suites me and only me right now”. They live in a dangerous place but handle it by taking out the danger before it takes them out. Inner city gangs are at this level.

They evolve to the next level when:
They become disenchanted or guilt kicks in. so they go back into joining the system again. They get caught and go to prison (prison is a values level 4 system) They let go of hurt and rejection and get acceptance of self.

4. System oriented (the loyalist)
Most large businesses, governments, and organised religions are at 4.In a values level 4 system there is someone in charge and it’s not you. You sacrifice yourself now for salvation later.

You do what the boss, government, or leader says, even if you didn’t like it because you believed there would be some pay off later, e.g a pension or you go to heaven.

Very guilt oriented – fear of doing something other than you are told, and the guilt you feel after you’ve done it.

They evolve to the next level when:
Someone decides they don’t want to sacrifice now for a pay off later. They want it NOW. So I’m going to go out and get it. I’m not going to wait until I’m 65. I want it now.
They let go of guilt and unworthiness and get forgiveness (of self)

5. Materialist oriented – Entrepreneur (Achiever)
This person is money, goal, materialist, oriented. They are into Instant gratification – they are not going to save up for a Porsche and say “I’m going to buy it now.” They are hard driven, acquire more things and more money

They evolve to the next level when:

For some reason their money disappears, Burn out / business / stock market crashes and they loose all their money and they look up and say “There must be more to life than this.” They let go of unfulfilled expectations and totally let go and go with the flow.

6. Group and Cause oriented (Involver)So they become group and cause oriented. Ban the bomb, Save the whale, Greenpeace.

They are into not going out and getting things for themselves, they want everyone to have the same. They value equality – so they form groups. Unfortunately the groups don’t achieve much because they want group consensus. So they don’t do anything unless everyone agrees. Which in practice means – nothing gets done. Everything is shared out. Fairness. Everyone is involved, everyone votes.

Interestingly Level 6’s (and 4’s) can’t understand Level 5 or 7. so they don’t understand the need to sell themselves, and get annoyed when people try to sell to them, and often ask for “energy exchanges”

They evolve to the next level when:
You realise you are doing all the work, but are sharing the rewards equally. You get tired of things not working and you say “Sod this” and strike out on your own again at a higher level.

7. Existential (choice seeker) – a quantum leap / water shed
People at this level can adopt any of the values levels below when it suites them, in order to get the results they need. They are results oriented as long as – it doesn’t harm anyone else. Whereas at level 5 – you don’t care if someone else loses, as long as you get your result. At level 7 you develop the true win – win. I am results oriented, but with the condition that I don’t harm anyone, I don’t take from anyone else.

They believe “The way for me to win is by other people winning.” But not at their own expense (that’s level 6).

They are significantly more integrated, as they move beyond the notion of roles in their life. Prior to 7 they might be a different person in different situations. They might be a different person at work, to how they are with their kids to how they are with their parents.

As level 7 they lose these “roles”. They just are who they are. They are the same in every single context. It’s just me. They are very comfortable with themselves and others. They have true flexibility. They can handle change and don’t take other’s behaviour personally.

Level 7’s can do business and sell, and they do, but it must be a fair exchange. Whereas 6’s will give it away or want things for free.

I am passionate about evolution because it will ultimately save the planet and our society. Left unchecked 6’s can squander the wealth accumulated by 5’s but without the compassion of 6’s, 5’s will strip the planet and society bare. The ideal is to become a fully actualised in value level 7.

We need the compassion of level 6 but the business approach of level 5. We need to marry heart (6) and mind (5). We need to bring spirit into business and business into sprit.

At level 7’s will use the win-win business approach to ensure that all win and no-one’s expense.

The good news is that not everyone has to get to level 7 just enough of the population and enough in power. Will it be you? Do you want to help others to evolve like this?

On our NLP prac and NLP master coach training you will evolve yourself and learn to help others do the same. Call me to find out how you can evolve yourself and help others to evolve.  0800 0409115

NLP – Lightworker tools

August 21, 2008

There are a lot of misconceptions about NLP and in many ways the NLP business has not done itself any favours. It uses lots of jargon. Even its own name “Neuro-Linguistic-Programming” doesn’t help. But in fact NLP has its roots in ancient spiritual, shamanic and other forms of healing. At Psycademy, we show you the true face and history of every NLP technique.

“How did you make the change from being an engineer to being a spiritual teacher?” Is a question I’m often asked.

My first ever training was probably the most radical transition from the logical to the weird that you can imagine. As an engineer we don’t even believe in electromagnetism. If you can’t see it you can’t trust it. If you want to move something you have to kick it. If you want to move it further or faster – kick it harder.

Then one day, somehow, I’m sitting in a circle of women, holding a something called a talking stick in Dorset. My relief to find that “talking stick” meant they expected ME to speak, not the stick was short lived as later I was sent out to “find a stone that will speak to you”.

To say these exercises stretched me in an understatement. But I did the exercises and incredibly I eventually DID find a stone that spoke to me and still use it as my womb stone now. I leant to invoke the goddess, summon spirits, find and communicate with my power animal, call up and release elemental spirits. I danced, drummed and journeyed to the shamanic worlds and even into the land of death. I talked to the elders, felt energy and resonated with nature spirits. I learnt the medicine wheel the sacred feminine and I loved every minute of it.

So when I leant NLP it was easy. NLP was nothing but shamanism with other labels on it. A hypnotic trance is nothing more than a shamanic journey. NLP eye accessing patterns is a simple shamanic way to see, hear, feel and connect with spirit. Shamanism even has a couple of eye accessing patterns never taught in NLP. Submodalities – a shamanic technique to release entities and negative energy. Time Line Therapy is a way of releasing Karma, invoking the energies of the ancestors and accessing past lives. Parts Integration is a Soul Retrieval.

I love NLP because it offers a wonderfully powerful shamanic and spiritual toolbox. And it does so in a way that is completely acceptable in business, education, healing, or therapy.

With NLP you can take spirituality into businesses, and they never even know that you have done so, they will just be blown away by your skills and effectiveness.

What is also great is that NLP, Time Line Therapy (TM) Hypnosis and Coaching are all accredited certificated trainings. NLP gives you the powers of a shaman in a way that is acceptable to anyone.

It is for this reason that we offer NLP practitioner trainings and with it some of the most powerful shamanic and spiritual tools available. Only with Psycademy can you learn the shamanic secrets behind the NLP tools.

Healing children

August 18, 2008

Do you want to heal, change, transform yourself and others?

In January of this year my 7 year old daughter Katie choked on some food. And by choking I don’t just mean it went down the wrong way and she had a bit of a cough. I mean her windpipe was completely blocked, she was no longer coughing. She is turning blue before my eyes. Katie stares straight at me with sheer panic and terror in her eyes. She is pleading, begging me to help her while she suffocates.

I grab her, turn her over and thump her hard on the back. Whack, whack whack. I know this must hurt but I have to get the blockage out. But it’s no good. Her mouth opening and closing in a desperate attempt to get some air, any air into her lungs.

Frantic now I turn her round, wrap my arms tight around her ribs and crunch HARD – the full blown Heimlich manoeuvre. I’d learnt about it on a first aid course YEARS before. A gobbet of food goes flying several feet across the room. Katie goes limp in my arms, but… she takes an in-breath, then she starts to cough and if she can cough, she can breath. She’s breathing again. I look at her face, distressed but relief flooding in. She’s breathing. In and out. In and out. Great sweet gasps of air.

I thought that was the end of it but a day or so latter I noticed she was playing with her food rather than tucking in to her dinner with her usual healthy appetite. To say Katie is a good eater is an understatement. She is a wonderful eater, ready to try new foods, relishing textures and flavours, even foods considered strong for the adult pallet.

But she was only picking at her meal. I know that making a fuss is only ever counterproductive with Katie so left her to it thinking her hunger would simply kick in eventually.

When she was still not eating after days, and dark circles started to appear under her eyes, when her ribs started to show on her normally plump, healthy little body I started to get concerned. Then the school called to mention that Katie was not eating her school lunch. At our next meal I observed her taking a mouthful, chewing it and then putting it in her napkin to hide the fact that she could not swallow.

Katie was not eating! She was eating almost nothing at all. As a mother it seems to be hardwired into the very core of my being to feed and nurture my child. It is such a basic primitive instinct. Most mothers are familiar with the feeling of it actually hurting themselves when they hear their baby cry with hunger.

I sat down with Katie for one of our chats. “I’m just a nervous swallower now” she told me. Now fortunately I am a trainer of NLP and know a little about phobias, and fear, and the unconscious mind. Rather a lot actually.

I went away and constructed an intervention. First we did Time Line Therapy(TM). “Ok Katie, remember where you Time Line is? Good, now float up above your Time Line, and go back out into the past to the moment just before you started to choke. Now. Where’s the Fear?”

“It’s gone Mummy”

“GONE? Are you sure, just check for me. Pop down into your body back at that time… is the fear all gone?”

“no it’s all gone. I remember you hitting me on the back – that really hurt you know!”

“I know I’m sorry – I was trying to help”

“It’s OK I know you were, I’m glad you did that big squeeze thing – that worked”

“Yeah me too…. Ok now float up above your time line again and come back to now.”

Katie’s healthy appetite has returned. She eats well. Katie is healthy; she is back to her normal weight and her strong self again.

So when people ask – does NLP work with kids – I can say from direct experience YES. It works with kids too.

n.b please do NOT use this technique unless you are a certified practitioner of NLP and Time Line Therapy (TM). Unless properly and fully trained you can cause someone to fully associate into a traumatic memory which without the skills of NLP you will not be equipped to handle.

Do you want to heal and change yourself and others? Enrol on our next NLP Practitioner course now. Includes Time Line Therapy, Hypnosis, and NLPCoaching Certifications.

Changing your state of mind

August 1, 2008

I first connected with Lisa Turner through a social business online community that seems to specialise in serendipitous connections called Ecademy on 12-Jul-06 5:57pm. I am forever thankful to Penny and Thomas Power, Ecademy’s founder and chairman, for making this possible.

At the time, Lisa went under the moniker of “Psychic Scientist”, which she is, and I was looking for some help and guidance on a novel I had started writing. I was exploring what was known about the cosmos and kept getting brought back to our very consciousness.

The chain of events I was about to start stretched way beyond my imagination. I was already fairly enlightened and spiritually aware but it was all in my conscious mind – I was intellectually knowledgeable about some ‘stuff’ but I didn’t know it.

For now, to keep this story short, I ended up having a Personal Breakthrough with Lisa and enrolling on here Lightworker Training programme and making the transition documented in these three pages.

I hope you find this information useful for you on your journeys and I am happy for you to contact me to discuss it – details here

& yes, I liked what I experienced so much that I’ve become an active part of the company supporting Lisa to take the message and her gifts globally by changing one person at a time 🙂

EGO – Emotions Edge God Out

July 10, 2008

Ego is a frequently used word in spiritual teachings. But what does it actually mean?

It usually has some kind of negative connotations, and many people think of it as linked to arrogance.

But this is only part of the story. In fact – if you think ego, or working from ego is negative – then you have ego!

Ego is that “stuff” or those feelings that get between you and your connection to the source

It also get’s between you and other people.

If you have any judgment about another’s behaviour – that is your own ego. If you think someone is behaving badly you are making a judgement and that is ego.

Even if you are judging something as GOOD that is ego.

Ego is separation, and the ego wants you to remain separate from others and the source. If there is no separation and you become one with the universe the ego disappears. The ego is fighting for its survival and does so through emotions.

Sometimes these emotions might seem nice. You might look at another person and think “I am good. They are bad”. This sort of ego-driven comparison might cause you to feel good or superior to others. This might seem to feel good in the short term, but is ultimately unsatisfying and halts your evolution.

The goal of your spiritual evolution is to bring your Higher Self down and merge it with your conscious and unconscious minds. When the unconscious mind is full of blocks, limitations, limiting beliefs and all the other aspects of the ego the Higher Self cannot exist here.

Those blocks, limitations, limiting beliefs are simply ego.

Emotions only Ever Lie

Release your emotions – Free yourself from EGO

When you release your negative emotions, and other blocks, you create “space” for your Higher Self to merge with the rest of your mind.

Sometimes we think the releasing of these blocks will be painful and difficult. But actually the opposite is true. Holding on to our pain and blocks simply causes us more pain.

But we don’t need to face our demons – we simple need to release them. Set them free. Once they are released they will simply evaporate and vanish. When we release them, let them go – our own Higher Self can destroy the pain.

In order to release a negative emotion or block, fist notice it. When this happens it can feel like a problem. It’s only a problem when you think of it like that. In fact, it’s a perfect opportunity to release another part of your ego, to accelerate your evolution and to bring down your Higher Self.

Most spiritual programmes have no effective method of releasing emotions. At Psycademy we like to do things differently. We make Higher Self Therapy available so you can release ego and pain

The goal of a Lightworker is to constantly be self aware and own everything. Not only the parts of ourselves we don’t like, we have become very good at this. But also to own and let go of those emotions we label positive.

Positive emotions are just as seductive, but when we have them and feel them – they are not US. They are something separate to us. When you let go of having or feeling joy, peace, bliss, then you BECOME joy, peace bliss.

Would you rather FEEL joy – or BE joy?

Would you rather FEEL peace – or BE peace?

Would you rather FEEL bliss – or BE bliss?

Higher Self Therapy release the pain. Release the ego, and let your higher self in.

Free yourself. Free your mind

Why materialism is essential for ascension

July 3, 2008

There is nothing enlightened about being broke. If you are broke then you have not mastered spiritual success.

I know, I know this is controversial. I get regular messages telling me that spiritual development should be “free and available to all”.

Actually it should be the most expensive investment of your entire life. You should prioritise it up there with your housing or car – even above your car. It has certainly been above my car for years.

Why? Because if you have mastered esoteric techniques as they were meant to be taught then material success will follow.

The Four BodiesAccording to many ancient spiritual and esoteric texts before the ascent in spirit can begin, the descent into matter must be complete. This is also expressed by “as above so below”.

Until the individual has mastered the material realms they will not be able to fully ascend into the spiritual realms.

All too often though, the material world is rejected before it is mastered. If you are to evolve it must be rejected but this can only happen when it has been mastered. Think about desire or wanting things. Many spiritual teachers instruct their students that desire is bad. They say that desire will distract you from your spiritual goals.

This is true, but the way to quench desire is to satisfy it. If you want or desire something, the only way to fully and completely stop yourself from wanting, is by having. When you can have anything you want, you no longer want, by satisfying your every desire.

This does not mean that you or anyone else following this principle will become greedy. Exactly the opposite is true. Greed is born out of fear, fear of lack, fear of scarcity; fear that there won’t be enough. If you are fearful that you can’t manifest your needs or wants in the future, you will be inclined to seek out more than you need right now, to be greedy for more than you need.

If you have absolute 100% confidence that you could manifest anything you desire at a moment’s notice, you would have no need to be greedy. So the way to eradicate greed is to empower yourself with the knowledge that you can manifest anything you want.

When we incarnate from spirit, our consciousness moves down from the spiritual body into the mental body. At this point although we are aware of the material realm, we have not yet mastered it. At the same time, when our consciousness has awakened to the mental body we will have some memory of the spiritual realms and yearn to return there.

This yearning we may try to satisfy by seeking spiritual enlightenment. We may reject the material realm. We may try to ascend back to the spiritual world from whence we came. Indeed many people at this time endeavour to achieve this. They go on spiritual retreats and meditate. They join ashrams and orders. But without the grounding that comes from mastering the physical realms ascension is impossible.

With spiritual techniques and knowledge you can master the physical realm. Indeed it is only with spiritual techniques that you can achieve ascension. You must embrace the consciousness within all of your bodies until it is grounded in the physical and then you can ascend.

Mastering Materialism

We get emails daily from people experiencing these issues and in response to this, we have just launched a self study workbook to help people break out of this cycle

We’ve called it the Lightworker’s Guide to Mastering Materalism as it’s the first step to take to becoming a true Lightworker.
